July Bully Walk - Polo's Memorial Walk

On Sunday January 30th 2011 Katie Williams held the very first bully walk in Portland. She started them for her dog Polo because she was having such a difficult time finding a rental where she could have a pit bull. She wanted to make a change in the way people see pit bulls in the hope that they might be more accepted in rental properties.

It was ALL for Polo from the very beginning.

Polo was at every single bully walk from the first one, even when Katie couldn't be there due to her work schedule she made sure that Polo was at the walk with a friend, until Katie moved away in October of 2011.

July Bully walk is in honor and memory of Polo, the spirit of the bully walks.  Polo crossed the Rainbow Bridge June 23 and her ashes will carried on this walk.  Short memorial ceremony after walk before her ashes are spread.

Meeting under Morrison Bridge at Tom McCall Waterfront Park.
