Furry Fun Planner Nov 15-22

Spot Magazine’s Editor and Publisher Jennifer McCammon gives the Furry Fun Planner Report live every Thursday evening at 6:05 on KPSU Radio’s Fathers, Mothers and Families show with Jim Whinston.  Listen to the broadcast at 98.1 FM or online at KPSU.org.

Jennifer talks to Jim this week about the shift from lots of outdoor fun to more holiday-themed events, many of which are designed to benefit area rescues and wellness organizations. For example, people can take their pets this weekend to Santa Paws Pet Portraits at eight participating Fred Meyer’s stores to get a pic with Santa while supporting Oregon Humane Society.

Other events include the Save Drifter Holiday Bazaar, an auction for the Pixie Project at the Left Bank Annexand the 4th Annual Pins for Pets Bowling for West Columbia Gorge Humane Society.

Finally, Jennifer talks about a new Spot feature called “People in the Neighborhood,” that introduces our community to some of the “rock star” folks in our local pet world each week. This week’s star is Nancy Fedelem from Salty’s Pet Shop!
