Good Neighbor Vet Furry Fun Planner for October 3

Spot Magazine’s Editor and Publisher Jennifer McCammon gives the Furry Fun Planner Report, sponsored by Good Neighbor Vet, live every Thursday evening at 6:05 on KPSU Radio’s Fathers, Mothers and Families show with Jim Whinston.  Listen to the broadcast at 98.1 FM or online at KPSU.org.

The season may be changing, but there are still plenty of animal-friendly events for pets and their people coming up this weekend!

Here’s something a little out of the ordinary for the Fun Planner, BirdFest is taking place at the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge where tours, workshops and demos are available all day Saturday. Learn more at RidgefieldFriends.org.

Up next it’s the Sit, Stay, Smile photo fundraiser for Born Again Pit Bull Rescue.  A new vet in town is having an open house to welcome folks to Viking Veterinary Care in NW Portland; West Columbia Gorge Humane celebrates 20 years of helping animals find their way home with their own open house and celebration at the shelter and the annual Blessing of the Animals is taking place a both Our Lady of the Lake and St. Mary’s Catholic Churches in Lake Oswego and Portland, respectively.

Finally, it’s a Night in Marrakesh, a Moroccan-themed fundraiser for SW Washington Humane Society!

As always, you can learn more about these and other happenings on our events page at SpotMagazine.net! And remember, Good Neighbor Vet clinics are held at multiple locations every weekend where they provide affordable basic care – no appointment needed!  Find a clinic near you at GoodNeighborVet.com
