Good Neighbor Vet Furry Fun Planner for December 4th

Spot Magazine’s Editor and Publisher Jennifer McCammon gives the Furry Fun Planner Report, sponsored by Good Neighbor Vet, live every Thursday evening at 6:05 on KPSU Radio’s Fathers, Mothers and Families show with Jim Whinston.  Listen to the broadcast at 98.1 FM or online at KPSU.org.

This week, we have a new voice to the fun planner, Spot Magazine’s Michelle Coppola gives us all the updates on holiday events for pets and their people!

This time of year there are several opportunities to get your pet’s pic taken with Santa, which often doubles for benefits for a variety of local rescues. This weekend in Vancouver you can take your furry loved ones to Retails Thrift Stores in Vancouver to benefit the Humane Society of SW Washington, head over to Pets on Broadway for a Lovers Not Fighters Pit Bull Rescue photo benefit or if your downtown, visit Mud Bay pet supplies for photos and to benefit Born Again Pit Bull Rescue.

Other events this weekend include a Santa Claus and Kitty Paws Cat Show at the Lloyd Center Doubletree where pretty kitties and adoptables from Cat Adoption Team will be showing off; there is also a Holiday Adoption Event at All Natural Pet Supply stores in Vancouver with adoptables from West Columbia Gorge Humane and The Humane Society of SW Washington. If bunnies are more your style, check out some bunnies to love at a Rabbit Advocates adoption event at the PetCo in Tigard.

If you want to challenge yourself, baking-wise, you can take part in the annual Gingerbread Dog House Contest that benefits Bonnie Hays Animal Shelter. Also, the wonderful Paw Team Vet Clinic will be offering their services this Sunday in Portland.

Finally, you’ll want to Circle the Date for January 9th when Good Neighbor Vet will be offering another Protect Your Pet clinic at the Humane Society for SW Washington.

As always, you can learn more about these and other happenings on our events page at SpotMagazine.net!
