The Good Neighbor Vet Furry Fun Planner for June 26

Spot Magazine’s Editor and Publisher Jennifer McCammon gives the Furry Fun Planner Report, sponsored by Good Neighbor Vet, live every Thursday evening at 6:05 on KPSU Radio’s Fathers, Mothers and Families show with Jim Whinston.  Listen to the broadcast at 98.1 FM or online at KPSU.org.

Lots going on as always during the summer season and this weekend is no exception! Jennifer starts off by talking about the Grand Opening for Zoom Room, a new doggie “gym” located in the Pearl District. She moves on to a couple of events happening in Sherwood on Saturday, first, KittenPalooza over at Cat Adoption Team’s shelter and a Walk on the Wild Side walk to benefit WildCat Haven Sanctuary.

Over in Sellwood, Natural Pet Food Solutions is having a sidewalk sale and BBQ to benefit Multnomah County Animal Services and in NE PDX Sit Stay Fit is having their 2nd Birthday Party celebration at Tin Shed which also doubles as a benefit for Fences For Fido. Over in Vancouver the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society is having a volunteer orientation and back in Sellwood on Tuesday, the Farmer's Market will be hosting a Red, White and Blue Costume Contest. Speaking of the Fourth, Jennifer spends a few minutes talking about how to keep your pets safe during this holiday, which can be traumatic for some pets.

Finishing up the calendar, Jennifer mentions a fun online party happening on Saturday, it’s the Shiba Prom, hosted by the National Shiba Inu Rescue and finally this weekend, if you’re looking to get a quick check up for your pet, Good Neighbor Vet is offering several of their Pet Clinics at various locations including Pet Pros at the Lloyd Center, Beauty For The Beast in North Portland and Western Pet Supply in Beaverton.
