Spot Magazine’s Editor and Publisher Jennifer McCammon gives the Furry Fun Planner Report, sponsored by Good Neighbor Vet, live every Thursday evening at 6:05 on KPSU Radio’s Fathers, Mothers and Families show with Jim Whinston. Listen to the broadcast at 98.1 FM or online at KPSU.org.
As with most summer weekends, there’s plenty of activities available for pets and their people! Starting off Jennifer mentions a special Bully Walk happening this Saturday, it’s Polo’s Memorial Walk honoring a pittie who recently passed. Two adoption events are also taking place on Saturday, one over at Unleashed By Petco with adoptables from the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society and at Fang and Feather in Portland with adoptables from Underdog Railroad Rescue.
Over on NE Broadway there is a Street Summer Pet Fair — Furever Pets will have activities and more available as part of the festival. Out of town in Boring, OR it’s another graduation ceremony at Guide Dogs for the Blind, a very special event and a way to learn more about the program.
On Sunday, if you’re looking for a little downtime while taking care of business with your pup, Good Neighbor Vet will be at the Pawfee Shop on NE Halsey from 11am until Noon. Vaccinations, exams and microchipping will be available.
