Good Neighbor Vet Furry Fun Planner for Sept 19

Spot Magazine’s Editor and Publisher Jennifer McCammon gives the Furry Fun Planner Report, sponsored by Good Neighbor Vet, live every Thursday evening at 6:05 on KPSU Radio’s Fathers, Mothers and Families show with Jim Whinston.  Listen to the broadcast at 98.1 FM or online at KPSU.org.

Lots going on this weekend starting with DogFest in Gresham where our good friends at BeBop USA will  be celebrating responsible pet guardianship with a booth offering training and agility demos, contests and more!

Up in Sandy it’s Bark in the Park with a fun walk, demos, vendors and all kinds of fun stuff for pets and their peeps. One of the biggest, and probably wettest events around, Dogtoberfest takes place this weekend at the Lucky Lab on Hawthorne to benefit DoveLewis. Bring your dirty dog and they’ll scrub ‘em up clean. Now, if it’s your CAR you need washed, you can then head over to St. Johns for an End of Summer car wash and bake sale benefitting Lovers Not Fighters Pit Bull Rescue!

This Sunday, you can help bring awareness to breed specific legislation by participating in the monthly Bully Walk in Portland, sponsored by The PDX Pit Bull Project. Finally there is a Problem Pooch class happening at Oregon Humane and if you’re looking to add a furry companion to your family, West Columbia Gorge Humane will have adoptables available at Unleashed by PetCo this weekend.

As always, you can learn more about these and other happenings on our events page at SpotMagazine.net! And remember, Good Neighbor Vet offers regular Protect Your Pet clinics throughout the area to make sure your animal companion stays healthy and fit!
